This very small receiver, only 29x29x10mm, can be used with a very wide range of remote controls, even rolling code, to activate an electric lock: in this way it's possible to open a pedestrian gate or main entrance door by pressing a button on the remote control.

Very very easy to be installed, has only two wires that should be connected to the existent switch: no need for external supply or battery.

The operating frequency, 433.92 MHz, 868.3 MHz, 315 MHz, 418 MHz or one of the frequencies listed in the table, can be simply programmed using the Prog button, as like as the number and length of activating pulses.

Crasol Rec1Uni and LockUni: list of supported frequencies

It works with both original radio remote controls, even rolling code versions, and remote control duplicators like Creasol Four and Creasol Multi: it support up to 60 remote control codings. Look at the compatibility table below to see which remote controls are supported.

Through the Prog button it's possible to:

  • Learn 1 or more remote controls (10s timeout before exiting).
  • Cancel 1 or more remote controls (10s timeout before exiting).
  • Erase the whole memory.
  • Learn 1 or more master remote controls, which are remote control that instead of activating the receiver output enable the learning procedure.
  • Program the operating frequency.
  • Program the output (hold-to-run, bistable, timer with different timings).

Creasol UniLock can be used to:

  • Open the entrance door simply pressing a button on the remote control.
  • Open the pedestrian gate.
  • Open any system which uses an electric lock.

For example you can use your existing fixed code or rolling code remote control with 4 buttons to:

  1. open your garage door, using the existing electronic board and receiver;
  2. open your gate which uses a different frequency or codings, just installing a Creasol UniRec1 receiver on it;
  3. open your pedestrian gate, installing a Creasol UniLock device;
  4. open your entrance door, installing a Creasol UniLock device.

So, with your existing remote control you can easely automate your house. Also, you can extend the number of remote controls using our Creasol Four and Creasol Multi remote control duplicators.

This device has 3 wires, one of which is used as antenna and must be left unconnected. The antenna wire should be 8cm long if used at 868.3 MHz,17cm at 433.92 MHz, 23cm around 315 MHz. Please refer to the application schema:
  1. Check the voltage on the existing switch: it should be greater than 9V and lower than 18Vac or 24Vdc.

  2. Connect an amperometer on the existing switch and measure the current, which should be greater than 0.5A and less than 3.2Aac or 3.5Adc.

  3. Connect the wires marked as Supply to the existing switch.

  4. Configure the device (frequency, number and lenght of pulses) if needed.

  5. Learn one or more remote controls, following the instructions below.

Learning remote controls

Press the Prog button twice to enable learning mode: then it's possible to press a button on the existing remote control, within 10s, to learn it. Every time a new code is learned, the 10s timeout is reload.

LED flashes 2 times if the remote control has been learned, 3 times if it was already learned, 6 times if memory is full.

Removing remote controls

Press the Prog button 3 times, then it's possible to transmit, within 10s, from the remote control that need to be removed: LED flashes 4 times indicating that the remote control has been removed.

Alternatively, to blank memory (remove all remote controls), press Prog button for 10 times, LED flashes 10 times, then press again Prog button 3 times.

Learning "master" remote controls

Press the Prog button 4 times and follow the same procedure to learn remote controls: in this case it's possible to learn one or more "master" remote control, which can be used only to enable the learning procedure remotely, without the need to press the Prog button. Note that "master" remote controls do NOT activate the receiver output.

To learn new remote controls in this way, put the "master" remote control in trasmission for 1-2 seconds, then start to transmit for 1-2 seconds from the new remote controls: every time a new remote control is learned, the 10s timer is reload to permit successive learnings.

Application note LOCK_02: Door opener with Creasol Lock

The following schema shows how to connect the receiver Creasol Lock to activate one or two electric locks. In this way it's possible, with a remote control like Creasol Four and Creasol Multi, to easily open for example the pedestrian gate and/or the entrance door.

This cheap solution is also very simple to be integrated in the house, thanks to the easy connection and the very compact dimensions.

Creasol Lock has only 3 wires: 1 as antenna that must be left open, and 2 wires that should be connected in parallel with the existing switch.
No need for additional supply or battery!

When a valid code is transmitted by the remote control, the two wires will be internally shorted by the Creasol Lock, letting the current (max 3,2A) flows through the electric lock, activating it.

Through the Prog button, the user can program the frequency (315, 433.92 or 868.3MHz), the number of activating pulses (1, 2, 3 or 4) and the pulse duration (100, 200, 400, 800ms).

Additional information:

Original remote controls may be not stable in frequency: it means that the original remote controls has a transmitter circuitry which frequency may be NOT accurate. Because the universal receiver has a narrow bandwidth receiver, in this case it's usable only with remote control that are stable in frequency, like Creasol Multi and Creasol Four.
Not supported yet!: it means that this kind of remote control is not supported now, but will be supported later.

2012-05-12

Added 3 levels of power saving mode: power consumption (and dissipation) reduced at 40%, 25% or 20% by turning ON the receiver for 60ms and turning OFF for 120ms, 300ms or 500ms.
20dB attenuation during learning mode, to prevent learning remote controls which transmit from a remote location.
Restricted bandwidth at 288, 300, 303, 306, 310, 315, 318, 330, 390 MHz to improve the sensitivity in those frequency. Now bandwidth is 500KHz (+-250KHz). Bandwidth at 403.55, 418, 433.92 and 868.3 MHz is not modified (250KHz, +-125KHz).
Added support to FS20 protocol, used for domotic. Thanks to Martin P.
Added support to Domia and Home Easy remote controls (tested Chacon KCT-510 and LYCT-505) used for domotic / home automation). Thanks to Mickael V.
